Lilyanne Design is a surface pattern design studio rooted in history, craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of home.
Each collection begins as a study—of form, movement, and the quiet details found in antique textiles, interiors, and natural landscapes. These references are not replicated, but reinterpreted, resulting in patterns that feel both familiar and newly considered.
From these studies, designs are developed into cohesive collections—created to live across fabric, wallpaper, and digital formats. Rather than approaching each product separately, the studio works in systems, allowing patterns to move seamlessly between surfaces and scales, and to be layered within a space in a way that feels intentional and lived-in.
A Practice Informed by the Experience of Home
At the heart of Lilyanne Design is a belief that the spaces we live in matter deeply.
As both a designer and a physical therapist working in home health and hospice, I have spent years inside people’s homes during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of their lives. In these spaces, I’ve seen how the objects we surround ourselves with—textiles, patterns, familiar details—can offer comfort, grounding, and a sense of belonging.
Homes are not just styled. They are lived in, shaped over time, and filled with memory.
This understanding informs every design. Patterns are created not only to be visually engaging, but to contribute to a space that feels layered, personal, and enduring.
A Slower Approach to Design
Inspired by historical patterns and guided by a belief in slow, intentional living, the work of Lilyanne Design honors what lasts: craftsmanship, memory, and the time we share with the people we love.
Each pattern is developed with care—sketched, refined, and thoughtfully composed—before being translated into repeat designs that can adapt to modern interiors. The goal is not to follow trends, but to create work that feels rooted and lasting.
From Design to Object
While Lilyanne Design is design-led, a small selection of handmade pieces is created alongside each collection.
These items—quilts, textiles, and paper goods—offer a more tactile expression of the patterns, bringing them into the physical world in a way that reflects the same attention to detail and care. Produced in limited quantities, they are intended to feel personal, not mass-produced.
