The Keeper’s Hand is an original mixed-media artwork featuring a hand-embossed floral composition worked in gold-colored aluminum. At its center, an open hand rises through an abundance of flowers and foliage, surrounded by carefully tooled lines, textures, and details that give the metalwork the character of an old decorative relief.
The embossed piece is layered over Stem & Sprig, an original Lilyanne Design pattern, whose soft green ground and delicate botanical stripes provide a quiet contrast to the rich gold metalwork. A deep blue layer frames the embossed centerpiece, adding depth and drawing the eye toward the hand.
Finished in a simple black metal frame, the piece brings together traditional handwork, pattern, and botanical imagery in a way that feels both collected from the past and made for today.
Each embossed piece is created individually by hand, and the subtle variations and tool marks are part of the character of the work.
